The Atlanta Braves lost to the Minnesota Twins by 4-1 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a three-game set in Minneapolis, MN. It allowed the Twins to take the series.
Josh Bell had a two-run homer that got the Twins on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Drake Baldwin clubbed a home run for the Braves to open the top of the sixth. Ryan Jeffers added a two-run double to the Twins’ lead to make it 4-1 in the bottom of the eighth.
Tyler Mahle was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering two runs and six hits, walking one, and striking out three in six and two-third innings. Zebby Matthews was credited with the win and Yoendrys Gomez picked up the save for Minnesota.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 74-52 on the 2026 regular season, while the Twins are in second place of the American League Central with a record of 62-65. The teams will meet in their series finale today. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:40 pm.
