The Rome Emperors lost to the Greenville Drive by 7-1 on Thursday evening in the third meeting of a six-game set at Greenville, SC. It allowed the Drive to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
A home run from Luis Guanipa in the top of the second inning accounted for the Emperors’ only run of the night.
Rome and Greenville will go head to head again tonight. First pitch is slated for 6:45 pm.
The Emperors’ current road trip will continue through this Sunday. They will be back on their home field at AdventHealth Stadium in Rome next week to finish the 2026 regular season with a six-game set versus the Winston-Salem Dash.
