Media release from the Georgia Lottery Corporation:
A Georgia Lottery player won $1 million in the Aug. 29 Powerball drawing by matching all five white-ball numbers. That ticket was purchased at Marathon Mart, 402 N. Westover Blvd. in Albany. Another ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000, purchased at Mike Food Mart, 6398 Zebulon Road in Macon. The next Powerball drawing will be Aug. 31 for $131 million.
Two players also hit the jackpot playing Quick Win games this weekend. One player won $91,407 playing Triple Win Quick Win at Welcome Foods, 4148 Marietta Street in Powder Springs, on Aug. 29. The other was an Acworth resident who won $52,524 playing Hit $500 Quick Win on the Georgia Lottery mobile app on Aug. 30.
In addition, a Valdosta resident won $10,000 playing the Viking Gold Diggi Game on Aug. 29, and a Pooler resident won $10,000 playing the Liberty Luck Diggi Game on Aug. 30. Both were playing on the mobile app.
A ticket won the $10,000 top prize in the Aug. 30 midday drawing of Georgia FIVE. That ticket was purchased at Panhandle Food Mart, 1475 McDonough Road in Hampton.
Finally, two players won $7,500 in Millionaire for Life drawings over the weekend by matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Millionaire Ball. The tickets were purchased at Unique Food and Pharmacy, 634 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Savannah, for the Aug. 30 drawing and Sunoco, 52 NW Broad Street in Fairburn, for the Aug. 28 drawing.
As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball, Quick Win, Diggi Games, Georgia FIVE, and Millionaire for Life benefit education in the state of Georgia.
