AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to welcome Zishan Hashmi, MD, a board-certified interventional pain management physician, to AdventHealth Medical Group Pain Medicine at Rome. Dr. Hashmi will begin caring for patients on August 31, 2026.
Dr. Hashmi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions, helping patients improve function, restore quality of life and return to the activities they enjoy. He takes a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to care, combining advanced minimally invasive procedures, physical therapy and non-addictive treatment options to create personalized treatment plans for each patient.
Board-certified in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology, Dr. Hashmi is highly trained in a variety of interventional pain management techniques, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation and minimally invasive spine procedures. He also specializes in the treatment of sacroiliac joint disorders and fusion procedures.
Dr. Hashmi earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University at Buffalo before pursuing a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine through Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Chronic pain can have a significant impact on every aspect of a person’s life,” said Dr. Hashmi. “My goal is to work collaboratively with patients to identify the source of their pain and develop individualized treatment plans that improve function, enhance well-being and help patients regain the ability to do what matters most to them.”
