Local families are now settling into their routines for the 2026-2027 school year, and they are likely laser-focused on time management.
Jennifer Jolly, Executive Director of the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, advises local parents to make the most of time with their kids throughout this school year, as time passes very quickly.
Time management is an extension of the executive functioning of the brain, according to Jolly, who says that children sometimes need help from adults to develop this skill.
Success in school is dependent on proper time management, concludes Jolly. The mission of the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, according to its website, is to empower children and youth to reach their full potential via collaboration, advocacy, and visibility.
