The Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism offers opportunities for community members and visitors to learn about local history and landmarks via a variety of tours.
The next Clocktower Tour is slated for Saturday, October 3rd. Kristi Kent, Director of Communications for the tourism office, enthuses that this tour provides the best views of Rome and an inside look at a local landmark that is over 150 years old.
Tickets are available at www.romegeorgia.org at a cost of $10, plus a $2.04 fee. Proceeds from ticket sales support the continued renovation efforts at the historic structure, says Kent.
Another Downtown History Tour is also scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd. That will be presented by the Rome Area History Center and will be led by Selena Tilly. For more details, visit the tourism office’s website.
Haunted on Broad Trolley Tours and a Haunted River Tour aboard the Roman Holiday Riverboat are additionally set for this October.
