The Atlanta Braves lost to the Chicago Cubs by 8-4 on Wednesday night in the finale of a three-game set at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL. Chicago took the series by two games to one.
Pete Crow-Armstrong had a pair of solo home runs and contributed a total of three RBIs towards the Cubs’ victory. Alex Bregman tallied four RBIs on the night to include a home run.
J.R. Ritchie was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up six runs and seven hits, walking two, and striking out five through just four and two-third innings of work. Shota Imanaga allowed just one run and struck out eight en route to the win for Chicago.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 89-64 on the 2026 regular season. They are off today and will be in Houston, TX over the weekend for a three-game set versus the Astros.
