The Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority invites everyone to the 2026 Cave Spring Pig Out BBQ Cook-Off and Car Show, slated for Saturday, September 26th from 10 am until 3 pm at Rolator Park. The cost of admission is $5 for those ages 13 and up.
Curtis Burch, member of the Cave Spring DDA Board of Directors, hopes for some Fall weather for this year’s event.
Attendees will determine which cook-off competitor has the best barbecue, according to Burch, who adds that trophies and cash prizes will be bestowed upon the winners.
The first 100 in line at 11 am will get to taste and cast a vote for their favorite BBQ.
Entry into the car show will take place from 8 am until 10 am only – no late entrances.
There will also be plenty of vendors at the event, which is a fundraiser for the Cave Spring DDA. Burch states that proceeds will support ongoing projects in downtown Cave Spring.
Burch says that the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation will bring its Fall Ramble to Cave Spring on the day before the Pig Out.
Cave Spring’s slate of events for October will include the Pickle Festival set for October 10th and 11th to benefit the Cave Spring Historical Society and the second annual Coffin Races on October 17th.
