The Atlanta Braves defeated the Cincinnati Reds by 3-2 in 10 innings on Wednesday night in the second meeting of a three-game set at Truist Park. That evened the series at a game each.
Juan Brito led off the game with a home run for the Reds. Matt Olson hit a home run for the Braves to tie the game at 1-1 during the bottom of the sixth inning. Will Banfield put the Reds up by 2-1 with a sac fly in the top of the seventh. Austin Riley began the bottom of that inning with a home run which tied the game again. Mauricio Dubon had a walk-off single to secure the victory for the Braves in the bottom of the 10th.
Atlanta starting pitcher Chris Sale tallied a total of 10 strikeouts on the night and reached 200 strikeouts for the season. Brent Suter was credited with the win. Luis Mey took the loss for Cincinnati.
The National League East-champion Braves improved to 93-65 on the 2026 regular season. They will wrap up their final homestand of the regular season versus the Reds tonight at 7:15 pm.
