The Salvation Army of Rome, GA is under new leadership. Lieutenant Cory Tilley and Captain Cristina Tilley became Corps Officers for the Rome Corps in late June.
Lieutenant Cory Tilley states that he grew up with The Salvation Army, an organization that he is happy to now serve as a leader. He has spent his life in the Southeastern U.S.A., mostly Alabama. His mother’s family hails from Rome.
Captain Cristina Tilley is a native of Moldova in Eastern Europe. Her family has been involved with The Salvation Army since she was eight years old.
Captain Tilley adds that she is glad to now say that “Rome is home”.
Lieutenant Tilley states that the people of Rome have been very welcoming so far.
Lieutenant Cory Tilley and Captain Cristina Tilley succeed Majors Hank and Eunice Harwell, who departed Rome in late June to lead The Salvation Army chapter in Dothan, AL.
The Salvation Army of Rome, GA has announced that applications for its ’26 Angel Tree program will be accepted in early October. Angel Tree provides Christmas assistance to those in need. For additional information, visit the organization’s Facebook page.
