The Atlanta Braves lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers by 3-1 on Tuesday night in Game Three of their best-of-five National League Division Series at Truist Park. That allowed LA to take a 2-1 lead in the set.
The Dodgers scored all three of their runs during the top of the fourth inning on a two-run homer by Enrique Hernandez and a solo home run from Freddie Freeman off of Chris Sale. The Braves notched their lone run of the night on an RBI groundout by Drake Baldwin in the fifth.
Sale was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering three runs and seven hits, walking none, and striking out seven in five innings. Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out 10 en route to the win for LA.
Game Four between the Braves and the Dodgers is scheduled for this evening at 6:08 pm in Atlanta. Listen to play-by-play from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 4:50 pm.
The Braves hope to avoid elimination tonight and force a Game Five in this series. If a Game Five is necessary, it will be played Friday out in LA. The winner of this series will advance in the 2026 MLB Postseason versus either the Milwaukee Brewers or the San Diego Padres in the National League Championship Series.
