Are you searching for volunteer opportunities in the community? Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries would be happy to put you to work!
Lindsey Kilby, President, says that the non-profit supplies food to a total of 88 agencies in need around Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga Counties.
This great need to provide for the hungry results in a great need for help from the public. Volunteers may contribute their assistance during the week. There are even volunteer opportunities on weekends, according to Kilby, who adds that help is also needed with home delivery on Tuesdays. More information may be obtained online at www.hungerministries.org.
Donations may also be made on the website. Those are very much needed at this time, as there is a growing need to feed the hungry, states Kilby.
Volunteers are also sought for produce distribution and drive-thru markets for which Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries will partner with the YMCA of Rome and Floyd County and Westminster Presbyterian Church in the coming months.
