Community support is sought by Open Door Home during this last quarter of 2026.
Open Door Home is a 501(c)3 organization whose residential facilities provide emergency and extended care to youth who have been neglected and/or abused.
Help is needed to fulfill the kids’ holiday wishes, says Tracie Ball, Executive Director. She encourages the public to stay tuned to ODH’s social media and website for their updated Amazon wishlists.
Ball also exhorts concerned citizens to put their tax dollars to work for ODH through the Fostering Success Tax Credit, an income tax credit for approved Georgia taxpayers on donations made to qualifying organizations that provide care for foster youth ages 16-25. All approved participants may redirect state income taxes to help organizations like ODH and receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state tax bill.
Those who apply before the end of this year may receive the credit when they file their taxes next year, states Ball.
Additional information about the Fostering Success Tax Credit is available online at www.opendoorhome.org.
