It is almost showtime for the 2026 Rome International Film Festival, which will get underway on Thursday and continue through Sunday.
Locals and visitors will enjoy film screenings, live music, parties, workshops, networking events, and special guests.
Seth Ingram, Executive/Creative Director, says that the festival draws a lot of visitors to Rome, GA. These visitors love this town and provide a boost to its economy.
Opening night festivities on Thursday will include a screening of the Oscar-winning short film “The Accountant”. Actor and director Ray McKinnon will be on hand for that screening.
Danny McBride, Jared and Jerusha Hess, and Ethan Embry are also among the industry professionals expected to be at RIFF.
Events will take place at the Rome City Auditorium, historic DeSoto Theatre, Screen 417, and a variety of other venues.
RIFF will conclude on Sunday with a closing night concert entitled “Rome Remembers Dolly Parton”. A portion of the ticket sales will be given to the Imagination Library.
This will be the 23rd edition of the Rome International Film Festival. Passes and more information are available online at www.riffga.com.
