The Rome-Floyd Chamber urges local shoppers to mark their calendars for Tuesday, November 17th. That is the date of Operation Gift Card – a limited time, electronic gift card matching program geared towards boosting support for small businesses.
The Chamber will match $25 and $50 gift cards until the $5,000 in matching funds runs out. Pam Powers-Smith, President and CEO, enthuses that this is a good way to double your holiday spending money.
Operation Gift Card will go live at 11 am on the 17th. Powers-Smith exhorts the public to be ready for it, as the gift cards tend to sell out quickly.
There is a limit of one gift card per person. The gift cards may be used at any participating business and may be redeemed at multiple businesses as long as there are funds on the card.
