ROME, NWGA UNEMPLOYMENT RATES DECLINED IN AUGUST

Rome’s unemployment rate declined in August, according to Georgia’s Labor Commissioner Mark Butler. Rome also had a monthly increase in jobs, along with a monthly decrease in initial unemployment claims. The unemployment rate for Rome was 4.7 percent in August, down from 7.1 percent in July.
